This new movement demanded a new look, a new store. So in 1977, 430 Kings Road was reincarnated again. 0:00 - 0:10 This time, it was called Seditionaries. And this is the iteration of the store in which punk fashion would truly emerge. 0:10 - 0:20 In a way, Seditionaries was a line in the sand because here you had the true emerging of music and fashion, McLaren's two main loves. 0:20 - 0:28 The chapters of 430 Kings Road all compounded on each other. Elements of Edwardian dandy and rocker and biker and sex worker all combined and catalyzed 0:28 - 0:38 with hard, fast music and political imagery. It's a ripped up Union Jack held together with safety pins. 0:38 - 0:48 This is style icon Michael Kostiff, a longtime neighbor of 430 Kings Road. 0:48 - 0:54 Over the years, Michael and his wife Gerlinda bought so many Westwood clothes, their collection was acquired by the Victoria and Albert Museum. 0:54 - 1:01 So beautifully cut, the trousers. Really? Yeah, and they sort of sit. 1:01 - 1:06 They've got a big wide belt. They're a little bit hipster almost. 1:06 - 1:10 Michael is showing me a pair of his old bondage trousers, which look like a straight jacket for your legs. 1:10 - 1:16 They're loaded down with zippers and chains and straps hanging off them. 1:16 - 1:20 And there's even a strap that ties your knees together, which Michael assures me was less limiting than you'd think. 1:20 - 1:26
